For someone who is interested in dating, it’s easy to get caught up into the dating game and become one of those crazy ones who can’t stop talking about how old fossils are. And it’s great that so many studies on the subject are out there, but what we really need is more accurate methods of dating.
One of the best ways to get accurate dates is with a genetic method called the absolute dating method. This method compares the DNA of a species to DNA from known fossils (or “ancestors”). It compares how much similarity the sequences of the DNA of the two species have and how much divergence the two species have, to see how old a species is.
The absolute dating method has been around for decades, but it’s recently been gaining more attention in the scientific community. A number of scientists have taken part in a project called The Age of Giants that attempts to see how accurate the absolute dating method used to be. The Age of Giants is a scientific project run by a group of scientists in Australia called the Sydney Institute of Astronomy.
A fossil can be said to be older than a species if the amount of time it has been around has been sufficient to cause it to be a better predictor of the species’ characteristics. The idea being that a species wouldn’t be as different to another species if it had existed for longer.

The Sydney Institute has a pretty good estimate of when to call a fossil a species and there is some disagreement regarding what to do with fossil species that have been around for a shorter amount of time and are not so accurate. For example, some scientists are saying it is better to call a fossil a species because it has been around longer than it should have been. However, others think that a fossil is a species if it has been around for longer than it should have been.
I am not sure what the absolute dating methods mean, but if you are looking to know how old a fossil is in terms of how long it has been alive, you should call it a fossil. Fossils are fossils, whether they have been around for 10,000 or 20,000 years. If there is a significant amount of uncertainty on this, I’d rather err on the side of caution.
That’s a different issue then. Since fossils are fossils, it is a matter of fact that they have been around longer than what they should have been. That is not a matter of opinion. It isn’t that people have been doing something for a longer time than they should have been. It is also not a matter of opinion that we can’t figure out how old a fossil is. It just doesn’t work that way.
To date we have used a few different methods to estimate how old a fossil is. The most common is by the age of the skull. The skull in an adult fossil is larger than a juvenile and thus more like a real skull. It is also harder to find. It is worth noting that fossil skulls tend to be very different in size from each other, and that even different age classes within a single species have skull sizes that are significantly different.
The second most common method is to look at a single fossil. In this case, the fossil is a complete skeleton, and has no internal organs (like a plant), so it is easier to spot. There are a few common methods to do this, and they’re all equivalent. One method is to take a fossil skeleton, and measure the length of its individual bones. Then, from that, the total length of the skeleton.
