That’s a good question. I remember when I was first pregnant and I was pregnant with my second daughter, we were told we could not eat certain foods during the first trimester. I took a lot of that as a sign that I should avoid certain foods and so forth.

I have to agree with my friend Chris on this one. Artificial Sweeteners are a bad thing. I can easily get away with not using artificial sweeteners, and while I don’t use them often, I do still eat most things that are artificially sweetened. My friend, however, has a severe sweet tooth.
I can go on and on about the negative effects of artificial sweeteners, but it’s really not that important. I’ve already mentioned the fact that artificial sweeteners actually make your blood sugar rise during the day, making it harder to fall asleep. It also makes it worse for your body to produce certain hormones, and causes them to be more concentrated in your blood stream. This is not something I want to discuss, but it is something to keep in mind if you’re looking to get pregnant.
It is true that artificial sweeteners can cause problems for those with blood sugar imbalances and high blood pressure due to the way they affect the body’s production of certain hormones. But these problems are much more extreme than what most people are already experiencing. You probably already know that sugar can also raise your blood sugar levels so much that it can cause seizures and even heart attack. But that is something you would already know if you were looking to have a baby.
