Most people are completely unaware of how much time they are missing out on, and end up going to the same boring bar after the same boring bar. The only people who are constantly on autopilot and not paying attention to what they are doing are the ones who have been born with the ability to do nothing at all. What this means is that if you lie to your friends and family about what happened last week, you can easily rationalize it away as a misunderstanding or a “mistake.” You can also come up with a plausible explanation for your amnesia if you’re honest with yourself. I know this may seem like a no-brainer, but I’d recommend you take the extra step and seek professional help.
